You can attach an Air Tag to a shirt using this two-part twist clip.

Attaching it

Make sure the three little bumps are on the same side on both parts!

If you have a small child running around, and you want some extra peace of mind, Air Tags can go a long way. There are lots of ways to attach them, but most are too “dangly” to survive a day on an active a 4 year old.

I designed this discrete and secure twist clip to keep tabs on my son when we last visited our favourite vacation spot. Its just two parts, and can attach anywhere on clothing (that isn’t too thick).

I like to attach mine to the back of t-shirts or swiming tops. They’ve yet to fall off during rough play and they’re pretty discrete. But if you know what you’re looking for, you can easily check whether they’re still attached.

Any 3D printer should be able to print this without supports. PLA works just fine, but note that PLA does expand a bit when wet, so PETG might be a better material choice if the pool will be part of your day.

If anyone is interested in a version designed for thicker clothing, like sweaters, let me know!
